It looks like it'll be hard to get a a charming hotel in Parma mid october at moderate cost. Does anyone know what the Best Western is like? I stayed there and didn't like it. You should read recent reviews because my stay was quite some time ago, but the hotel is dreary and the shortest route to Parma center at night is a prostitute's walk.
It's not dangerous, but it's unsavory. Although the Hotel Daniel is not "quaint", it has an outstanding restaurant.
Really knockout. And it is a pleasant walk through the park to get to the historic center. Consider staying there or in a hotel right in that area so you can eat at the Daniel's restaurant it is called Cocchi.
Have you checked to see if anything is available at Parizzi suites for your travel dates?
