A Bulverde police sergeant resigned Tuesday after he was arrested on a prostitution charge, officials said. According to Ramos' arrest warrant, he drove up to an undercover San Antonio police officer on Feb. The officer was part of a sting operation targeting men who pay for sex, the affidavit says. The undercover officer walked away from Ramos' vehicle and told uniformed officers that he had agreed to pay her for sex, according to the affidavit. The officers tailed Ramos but he began "to drive at a high rate of speed," and the officers backed off.
They got his license plate number from security camera footage and positively identified him, the affidavit says. Authorities then secured a warrant for his arrest on the prostitution charge.
