We were only able to book Roman for a half day, but he was absolutely outstanding! He was very knowledgeable and personable. We had a wonderful time!
Romain is extremely knowledgeable about the region and its wine, and his passion comes through in his explanations. He had answers for every question we had and was such an engaging guide. The region itself is absolutely beautiful and picturesque. The wineries we visited, while most were on the smaller side as this is the norm in CDP , were all different in feel. The wines were very delicious and we bought a few bottles and would have bought more if not for lack of room in our suitcase.
At the end of the day we stopped at a chocolatier and learned how to pair chocolate with red wine and dessert wine, which was a really nice touch. I can't recommend this experience highly enough! Roman was excellent and knows a lot about wine, the region and is a great host and communicator. I highly recommend spending a half day or full day with Roman. He's a joy all around, and the wine is fantastic! Romain was an terrific guide. Wealth of information on the region, wines and vineyards. Came highly recommended and didn't disappoint.
He was full but had a last minute afternoon opening and came back to Avignon to pick us up while others were having lunch. Was a very special part of our visit to the area. Romain is an informative and fun tour guide. We learned a great deal about the local wines, and we had a lot of fun on the tour. Romain is a very knowledgeable and fun guide.
