What a dump! They obviously have no clue about urban planning, or the concept of cleaning up garbage. Beer bottles and plastic polluting the ocean and shore line. We drove by this treasure and their are a lot to casinos on this strip as well as the beach can't swim. I stayed at a hotel right on Avenida George Washington. Best decision. The street is lively and safe. There are restaurants, fun places to go, parks, cool street artwork, magnificent sea views, and friendly people along the entire street.
A long way along the coast overlooking the Caribbean Sea. They stand here best hotels. In the evenings, it is very crowded. Inhabitants meet each other. This avenue, also called El Malecon, has a great view of the Caribbean sea and there you can enjoy the warm-tropical breeze. The famous spots there are the Guibia beach, where you can see a lot of people doing exercises or just sitting there chatting and eating fast food.
If you ever there pay attention to the sunset. There is no view like the sun going down at the Caribbean Sea. Definitely needs to be maintained properly but location is great.
