Disaster of a hotel, worst place I've ever stayed in. Arrived at half 5 and walked past a couple of sex shops and a strip club. Checked the map and walked back to find the hotel was an unmarked door next to the strip club. Reception only opens during morning and afternoon and gives a number to call. While writing down the number a scantily dressed young girl came out of the club and asked us we had a reservation, we should wait for the guy to come back. I assume the owner came back and showed us in, no lift up a very dark and seedy stair case with a handrail hanging off the wall, to a cupboard at the top which is the reception.
He got me to sign the credit card slip straight away, which I did wonder why because usually you sign at the end. Room was smelly, dirt all round the skirtings and the shower room was pretty disgusting, we couldn't use it the shower curtain had brown caked mud all round the bottom of it. Half one in the morning the music gets turned up, half 3 in the morning people come to use the other rooms, can only imagine what for because you don't hear the usual chatter that goes on when people are going to bed!
Next morning I complained to Next morning I complained to the receptionist about the cleanliness of the room and he called someone who I took to the room and showed the dirt and shower to. He said he would change it and asked if we were staying that night.
We returned at about 6pm to find the room had not been touched. I heard a girl speaking to what I assumed to be another guest when I reached my red line! She said the charge for her services was chf, and the guest asked if that included the room, no for my service and I take for the room. That was the final straw and I went up to find out what was going on, the guest was leaving, I think he was wanting a room to sleep in!
We called the owner, who said he only works the reception. I told him I and my wife could not spend any more time in this place as it wasn't a hotel, and told him I'd asked hotels.
